HOME SCHOOL PROGRAM

Welcome to the Coastal Grove Home School program.  Home Schooling your child is an honorable pursuit that will surely strengthen the family bond.  Students and parents of the Coastal Grove Home School Program receive:

• The Oak Meadow Curriculum: a comprehensive curriculum that covers your child’s year of study.  For an overview and lesson sample see oakmeadow.com.
• A yearly budget for purchasing supplementary classes and supplies.
• Weekly classes (small group instruction).
• Parent/student workshops.
• Field Trips.
• Festivals.
• Playgroups.
• A credentialed teacher to act as an advisor and partner in your child’s education.

            Through the year, parents and students meet with an education coordinator to plan curriculum, share student work and celebrate his/her accomplishments.  Each family becomes part of Coastal Grove Charter School attending festivals, workshops and special events.  The education coordinator acts as a bridge to organized community activities and school events for families to participate in.
